CAPMAS reported that Egyptian exports to Jordan climbed to $617 million in the first 10 months of 2024, up from $553 million in 2023.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Monday King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan. The two leaders held a closed-door bilateral meeting, followed by expanded talks attended by the two sides’ delegations.

It aims to address the urgent gas supply needs of Jordan, especially as the country continues to develop its LNG infrastructure, and will help mitigate costs for both countries.
Imports from Jordan also experienced a notable increase, reaching $182 million in the first nine months of 2024
The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation announced electing Egypt as head of the executive office of Arab water ministerial council for 2024/2025.
