Egyptian Attorney General Counselor Mohamed Shawky hosted Counselor Youssef Diabat, Jordanian Attorney General

CAIRO- 5 December 2024: Egyptian Attorney General Counselor Mohamed Shawky hosted Counselor Youssef Diabat, Jordanian Attorney General and his accompanying delegation at his office in Cairo. 

 

The meeting was attended by several senior officials from the Egyptian Public Prosecution.

 

The Attorney General warmly welcomed his distinguished guests, emphasizing the strong historical ties between the two countries. 

 

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen judicial cooperation, particularly in combating various forms of crime, and explored opportunities for exchanging expertise through joint events for members of the Public Prosecution from both nations. 

 

These events would focus on addressing legal issues of mutual interest. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between the two parties.

 

Prior to the meeting, the Jordanian delegation visited the Institute of Criminal Research and Training at the Public Prosecution, where they were welcomed by the Advisor and Director of the Institute, along with several senior Public Prosecution officials. 

 

The delegation toured the Institute’s facilities, including its corridors and training halls, and expressed a strong interest in organizing training courses for members of the Jordanian Public Prosecution at the Institute in Cairo, aimed at facilitating the transfer and exchange of expertise.
