Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature 2022, opens for submission
The publishing house of the American University in Cairo is holding the award ceremony for the 24th Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature 2021 on March 31 at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
This current week will be busy on all cultural levels, as four Egyptian and Arab competitions in literature and arts are scheduled to announce their winners for 2021.
The celebration will be held virtually through Zoom, and will be broadcast live on the official AUC Press page on Facebook, on March 31 at 6:30 p.m.
The Supreme Council of Culture announced extending the application period for Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature in Egypt and the Arab world until April 15, 2021.
This year, on September 16, for the first time since Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature was established, the committee will announce a shortlist for the prize, which will be awarded in December.
Palestinian author Huzama Habayeb has been awarded the 2017 Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature by AUC Press.
