According to the director of the president’s press office, Andreas Iosif, on Sunday, Anastasiades will meet his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron next week as he makes several trips abroad, including to Egypt, Israel and France, Cyprus Mail reported.
This will contribute to making this cooperation mechanism a role model for coordination and consultations between Mediterranean countries and reflect the special Egyptian-Cypriot special relations, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.
In a phone call, Anastasiades expressed keenness to coordinate and exchange visions with Sisi on issues of mutual concern.
Anastasiades affirmed the need for cooperation with Egypt during the current stage, calling it “even more important” than earlier.
