This year, a total of 745,086 students have enrolled in Thanaweya Amma
A total of 745,086 students are gearing up to begin the 2024 exams for subjects that contribute to their overall grades in Thanaweya Amma, Egypt's national high school, on Saturday.
Pass average rates of Thanaweya Amma (high school) students at the final exams for the school year 2021/2022 hit 75.4 percent, a higher rate than the past year’s 74%, Minister of Education Tarek Shawki said.
The ministry said in a statement it will offer 16,575 thermometers, 34,037,829 face masks, 6,411,804 gloves and 6,000 sanitizers to secure students against the virus.
The Supreme Council of Universities has decided to cancel final oral and written exams for all university students, except for seniors.
