Saudi Arabia topped the list of countries importing Egyptian furniture in the first quarter of 2020 with imports estimated at $15 million.
The EFEC, in a statement Tuesday, said Saudi Arabia was the top importer of Egyptian furniture with a value of 39 million dollars.
The exhibition, organized by EFEC and the Chamber of Wood Working and Furniture Industries (CWWFI), will be held at Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Center in Cairo's Nasr City.
The customs will continue to drop until they are completely eliminated in 10 years.
Furniture exports declined 10 percent between January and September 2017 to $244.2 million, compared with $272 million in the same period last year.
The imported furniture prices have witnessed a large increase over the past period due to the latest surge in the foreign currency exchange rate, Member of the Egyptian Furniture Export Council (EFEC) Ahmed el-Iraqi told Egypt Today.
