Arab leaders have called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, an end to all attempts of forced displacement and all forms of siege, allowing full and sustainable access to humanitarian aid for the enclave, in addition to an immediate withdrawal of Israel from the Palestinian city of Rafah.

In this regard, El-Sisi held phone calls with Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, UAE’s President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and Emir of Tabuk region Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Iraqi President Barham Salih. The Iraqi president extended his greetings on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing the government and people of Egypt progress and prosperity.
In a phone call with Saudi King Salman bin Abdelaziz, President Sisi greeted him on the holy month. The president also wished the Saudi people progress and prosperity.
The joint meeting will discuss “ways to support Jordan to emerge from the economic crisis it is going through”, the statement added.
Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi discussed regional conflicts with several Arab leaders on the sideline of the 29th Arab Summit which kicked off earlier Sunday.
The minister ofstate for African affairs said on Wednesday that the Arab countries are discussing delaying the 29th Arab summit to April.
