Housing projects
Egypt has worked on implementing 462 housing, development, road, electricity, facility and services projects in Sinai and the Suez Canal cities worth billions of pounds, Egyptian Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar said.
The projects inaugurated by the president included housing projects in the new cities around Giza's Sixth of October city to secure thousands of housing units.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended on Saturday breakfast with Egyptian families on the sidelines of the inauguration of a number of housing projects in Badr city located in northeastern Cairo.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday urged constructing 3,300 additional new housing units as part of the national project dubbed "Housing for all Egyptians" and an extension of “Ahalina” social housing project.
Sisi added that despite the difficult circumstances of the Egyptian state, Egypt stood by its people, saying: "it offers a LE 600,000-apartment for the citizen to protect him/her from life in dangerous areas."
The Higher Council for Planning in August approved allocating 15,000 feddans for setting up a new city in Bani Mazar in the Upper Egyptian Minya Governorate.
25 projects for providing Qena governorate villages with clean water have been accomplished.
