Egypt’s Prosecutor General Hamada el Sawy referred Ayman Hagag, a member of the judicial authorities, and businessman Hussein el Gharabli to the criminal court, on Thursday, on charges of the premeditated murder of TV presenter Shaimaa Gamal.
According to a statement by the prosecution on Friday, the husband, who is a member of a judicial authority, faces along with another suspect first-degree murder charges.
Earlier this week, the Public Prosecution announced launching a probe into the murder of Gamal after her husband, a member of a judicial authority, reported that she is missing.
Shaimaa Gamal has been suspended for a week after sniffing a white substance resembling heroin on-air during her show El Moshaghba (The Trouble Maker).
