CAIRO – 21 November 2024: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly visited the New Valley (El Wadi El Gedid) governorate in southern Egypt on Thursday to officially open a range of projects.
During his visit, Madbouly inaugurated an international camel and equestrian club. There, he kicked off a marathon and an international camel and car rally, offering his best wishes for success to participants.
Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi highlighted that the club, situated north of Al Kharga City, covers an area of 400 feddans (415 acres).
The club features a 20-meter-wide, 8-kilometer-long sports track and spans a total area of 4,750,000 square meters. The establishment of the club required financial investments amounting to around LE 40 million.
Bahaa Shawki, head of the governorate’s youth and sports directorate, added that the club includes a 5-kilometer-long international track, a viewing platform, service roads for riders and journalists, eco-friendly rest areas, and a veterinary unit.
Additionally, the prime minister toured New Valley University, where he took commemorative photos with faculty members, staff, and male and female students with disabilities.
