Since the Israel-Hamas war erupted on 7 October, Egypt has moved more than 3,100 tons of food, medicine, medical supplies and other humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, North Sinai governorate said on Monday.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reiterated on Monday Egypt’s rejection of the forced displacement of the Palestinian people from their lands as he received a delegation of US Senate members from the Democratic and Republican parties.
Many trucks loaded with humanitarian aid have entered the Gaza Strip from Egypt on Saturday morning after two weeks of Israeli strikes that flattened homes and left hundreds of thousands of Palestinians homeless.
Israel has warned its citizens of travelling to Middle East countries, including Egypt, as well as other countries with travel warnings a day after the Israeli government announced the “state of war” against Hamas fighters in Gaza.
