The project entails the construction of a sodium cyanide factory in Egypt, primarily focusing on meeting local demand and exporting 80% of the production to markets in the Nile Basin, the Middle East, and Africa
This ambitious strategy is expected to create 7 to 8 million job opportunities during the specified period.
Minister Samir reiterated the significant role Italy plays as one of Egypt's prominent global economic partners.
Samir added that Egypt plans to increase industrial production by 20 percent, enhance the green economy's contribution to the gross domestic product to a minimum of 5 percent, and provide number of job openings, targeting 7 to 8 million opportunities.
The government plans to achieve this goal by focusing on the development of the industry sector, enhancing the value of Egyptian products

Samir also emphasized the pivotal role of Egypt's cement sector as a pillar for the nation's infrastructure and urban development projects, as well as the industrial sector’s role as a key player in Egypt's recovery, addressing global and regional economic challenges

These remarks were made during the minister's participation in the fourth edition of the Turkish-African Economic and Trade Forum held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Samir affirmed that Egypt and India share a strategic bilateral relationship that spans a long history of mutual cooperation aimed at supporting the economic and social development aspirations of both countries.
