The two Cairo International Airport museums in Terminals 2 and 3 come among the important museums of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The first transit passenger to visit the Airport Terminal 2 Museum was from Russia.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Enany and Minister of Civil Aviation Mohammed Manar, inaugurated today, in celebration of International Museum Day, two new museums at Cairo International Airport in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.
The airport museums aim to promote cultural tourism in Egypt and attract and encourage tourists, especially transit passengers, to visit archaeological and historical sites and museums.
On July 26, the team working at the Cairo Airport Museum [in Terminal 3] began placing the artifacts according to the museum's display scenario in preparation for its opening soon.
Engineer Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, the head of the holding company for Airports and Air Navigations, announced the garage under Terminal 2 to be operating soon.
