CAIRO – 1 June 2022: The two Cairo International Airport museums in Terminals 2 and 3 come among the important museums of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Each of them  includes a large collection of artifacts that illustrates different eras of ancient Egyptian history.

Terminal 2 Museum houses 304 unique artifacts that highlight the artistic and historical features of each of Egypt's historical eras, starting from ancient Egyptian times to the Greco-Roman, Coptic, Islamic and the Alawite family era. It also exhibits books from the three Abrahamic religions, which expresses the religious tolerance witnessed in Egypt, the birthplace of the heavenly religions, where the Noble Qur’an from the era of Khedive Tawfiq, the Book of Esther and a book of praises for the Coptic month of Kiahk are all displayed.

The antiquities at the airport museums were selected from the stores of a number of museums, including the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Suez Museum and the Greco-Roman Museum, to reflect the different aspects of the Egyptian civilization.

The airport museums’ entry tickets were set at low prices;  the price of the entry ticket for each museum is $3, or LE 50 for foreigners, and LE 25 for Egyptians.
