EGX shows mixed performance on Sunday

CAIRO - 3 March 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed mixed performance on Sunday, adding around LE 874.31 million to the market capitalization, amid local purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 0.32 percent, or 93.92 points, to end at 29,058.33 points.
 
On the other hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 declined 0.20 percent, or 14.91 points, to close at 7,291.98 points.
 
The broader index EGX 100 inched down 0.01 percent, or 1.18 points, to 10,238.18 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 874.31 million, recording LE 1.998 trillion, compared to LE 1.999 trillion in Thursday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 886.62 million shares, traded through 143,957 transactions, with a turnover of LE 4.4 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net buyers at LE 181.14 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers at LE 80.32 million, and LE 100.82 million, respectively.
 
TransOceans Tours, Middle & West Delta Flour Mills, and E-finance for Digital and Financial Investments were top gainers of the session at 20 percent, 19.16 percent, and 12.29 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Nozha International Hospital, Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment, and The Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas were top losers of the session by 6.55 percent, 6.03 percent, and 5.71 percent, respectively.
