CAIRO - 29 February 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) turned green during Thursday , adding around LE 11.11 billion to the market capitalization, amid local and Arab purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 0.30 percent, or 87.95 points, to end at 28,964.41 points.
 
Furthermore, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 0.24 percent, or 17.6 points, to close at 7,306.89 points.
 
The broader index EGX 100 hiked 0.22 percent, or 22.54 points, to 10,239.36 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 11.11 billion, recording LE 1.999 trillion, compared to LE 1.988 trillion in Wednesday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 918.45 million shares, traded through 152,783 transactions, with a turnover of LE 4.82 billion.
 
Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 267.67 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 103.71 million, and LE 163.95 million, respectively.
 
Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation, Six of October Development & Investment (SODIC), and Amer Group Holding were top gainers of the session at 16.49 percent, 12.04 percent, and 11.21 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma), Egypt for Poultry, and Taaleem Management Services were top losers of the session by 5.83 percent, 5.68 percent, and 5.29 percent, respectively.
