CAIRO - 13 February 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) continued trading in the green zone for the second consecutive session during Tuesday, adding around LE 11.67 billion to the market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 increased 0.39 percent, or 109.82 points, to end at 28,604.54 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 hiked 1.82  percent, or 125.33 points, to close at 6,997.53 points.
 
Furthermore, the broader index EGX 100 rose 1.95 percent, or 187.74 points, to 9,825.72 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 11.67 billion, recording LE 2.015 trillion, compared to LE 2 trillion in Monday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 1.27 million shares, traded through 178,062 transactions, with a turnover of LE 6.66 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 606.41 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 113.63 million, and LE 492.78 million, respectively.
 
Acrow Misr, Juhayna Food Industries, and Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical were top gainers of the session at 16.05 percent, 13.50 percent, and 12.31 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. for Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC, Memphis Pharmaceuticals, and Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co were top losers of the session by 8.15 percent, 5.68 percent, and 4.73 percent, respectively.
