EGX ends midweek session on mixed note, market cap. gains LE 5.08B

CAIRO - 26 September 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed mixed performance during Tuesday’s session, adding around LE 5.08 billion to the market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign purchases.
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.17 percent, or 34.3 points, to end at 20,354.86 points.
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 declined 0.45 percent, or 16.99 points, to close at 3,795.65 points.
 
The broader index EGX 100 decreased 0.35 percent, or 20.14 points, to 5,557.91 points.
  
Market capitalization gained around LE 5.08 billion, recording LE 1.381 trillion, compared to LE 1.376 trillion in Monday’s session.
 
The trading volume reached 625.2 million shares, traded through 80,574 transactions, with a turnover of LE 2.99 billion.
 
Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 311.88 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 201.49 million, and LE 110.39 million, respectively.
 
Delta for Printing & Packaging, Samad Misr -EGYFERT, and Egyptian Media Production City were top gainers of the session at 20 percent, 18.44 percent and 6.60 percent, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Misr National Steel - Ataqa, Golden Coast Company, and Egyptian for Tourism Resorts were top losers of the session by 5.19 percent, 4.86 percent, and 4.04 percent, respectively.
