Mallawi Museum
The archaeological area of Beni Hasan is one of the most important archaeological areas in El-Minya Governorate.
Within the celebrations of Eid al-Adha, the Mallawi Museum is organizing a workshop for children, to teach them a method of creating pencil cases in the shape of a lamb from environmentally friendly materials.
The museum was closed after being vandalized and looted in August 2013 by the terrorist Brotherhood.
According to the UNESCO website, museums constitute a center for preservation, studies and reflection on heritage and culture. It can no longer remain aloof from the fundamental issues of our time.
The Mallawi Museum announced the results of voting for the piece of the month, out of 4 artifacts, which were displayed on the museum’s official page on Facebook under the title "You are the one who chooses."
A total of 944 pieces are displayed in the museum.
