Reda Abdel Qader, chairperson of the authority, called on the companies obligated to join the system in its seventh phase, to quickly implement the registration procedures as well as obtain the electronic stamp before June 15.
As of 1st of July, the system will be obligatory, the minister said.
Egypt’s Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, issued a decision to add a new paragraph to Article 38 of the Executive Regulations for the Value Added Tax Law.
The Minister of Finance thanked the companies that joined the electronic invoice system, whether in the first phase, for which the actual operation began on November 15, 2020, or the second phase, for which the actual operation began on February 15, 2021.
The minister pointed out that the first phase of the electronic invoice system, which was launched on November 15, was successfully completed.
