CAIRO – 3 March 2021: Total number of companies that joined the electronic invoice system during the first and second phases reached nearly 400 companies, according to Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait.
The Minister of Finance thanked the companies that joined the electronic invoice system, whether in the first phase, for which the actual operation began on November 15, 2020, or the second phase, for which the actual operation began on February 15, 2021.
He pointed out that the number of electronic documents (invoices - credit notes - debtor notices) that were processed through the system amounted to approximately 1.25 million documents, pointing out that the total number of companies that uploaded electronic documents to the actual operating environment from the first and second stages is almost 400 companies.
Maait added that there are 37 companies that voluntarily joined the electronic invoice system, thanking these companies, stressing that the deadline for all financiers registered in the Center for Large Funders to join the electronic invoice system is May 15th.
The Minister of Finance called on the companies registered in the Center for Large Taxpayers who are obligated to join the electronic invoice system, to quickly take the necessary measures to join the system, explaining that the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Authority provide all facilities and support to companies for the compulsory joining of the electronic invoice system, whether through the technical support office in the center of major financiers or field visits , And through the Integrated Contact Center at 16395 or via eInvoice@eta.gov.eg
