Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi said that the nation will continue to support and empower Persons with Disabilities on the occasion of their International day.

In statements to MENA on Friday, Qabbaj added some 5,000 volunteers are taking part in the campaign's third phase that includes the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyoubia, Ismailia, Sharqia, North Sinai, South Sinai, Suez, Qena, Sohag, Alexandria, Menoufia, Gharbia, , Daqahlia and Kafr El-Sheikh. This phase runs throughout August and may last till September.

A person or child with a disability is considered at risk, according to Article 46 of the law, which punishes any case of threatening respect for personal dignity and autonomy of persons with special needs, or discriminating against them on the basis of disability.
