Julius Nyerere Hydropower Station
The establishment of Tanzania’s Julius Nyerere by Egyptian and Tanzanian hands reflects Egypt’s commitment to support development programs and projects in the Nile Basin countries, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has said.
Egypt and Tanzania are gearing up to celebrate the first filling of the giant hydropower dam of Julius Nyerere, which is being constructed along the Rufiji River by an Egyptian consortium and thousands of workers including Egyptians.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi reviewed number of issues during a Thursday meeting with several minsters and officials, including efforts exerted to enhance cooperation with African states.
