The exhibition is held under the supervision of the Museums Sector and the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities Sector of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
The distinguished landmarks will be lit from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on December 8 & 9.
The ambassadors were keen to tour all parts of the citadel, where they enjoyed watching the main towers, the castle courtyard and the ancient cannons.
They discussed a project to develop tourism services at the Qaitbay Citadel and its surrounding area.
The decision aims at attracting internal tourism in addition to acquainting the society with the Egyptian civilization.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities decided to reopen five museums and eight archaeological sites as of July 1.
In light of Egypt’s Cabinet decisions, the Antiquities Administration Board met to determine the sites and museums that will be reopened.
