CAIRO – 9 December 2021: On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities lit the external facades of Salah El-Din Citadel in Cairo and Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria with the phrase “International Anti-Corruption Day”. The distinguished landmarks are lit from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on December 8 & 9.

This comes in light of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ keenness to participate in such purposeful global events.

It should be noted that the International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated annually on December 9 since the General Assembly adopted this day in order to raise awareness of the problem of corruption and the role of the United Nations Convention in combating and preventing it.

This year's celebration comes to shed light on the role of key stakeholders and individuals in preventing and combating corruption under the slogan "Preserve Your Rights, Play Your Roles, and Say No to Corruption."
