Stranded
As he departs back to Egypt, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty accompanied a number of 294 nationals from Beirut to return them to homeland amid escalating armed conflict in Lebanon.
The Egyptian Ministry of Transport has blamed the reported stranding of truck drivers at the border with Sudan mainly on the “slow customs clearance measures” by the Sudanese side.
It turned out that the number of stranded people who arrived this morning at the seaport of Safaga is 466, including 272 Sudanese, 184 Egyptians, 5 Britons, an American, and a stranded Kenyan.
This will be considered the first operation for the Sphinx International Airport.

An exceptional flight took off from Washington to Egypt with 293 passengers and 13 babies on board, to evacuate Egyptians stranded in the United States over coronavirus, as the US has reported the highest counts of confirmed cases.
