Egypt’s Minister of Health Hala Zayed on Saturday said only 20 percent of ventilators nationwide has been in use over the last week, down from 97 percent, as the ministry announced passing coronavirus peak.
The fund’s initiative is supporting the ministry’s efforts to supply isolation hospitals.
Power and desalination company, ACWA Power on Friday raised LE 5.5 million ($349,286) to pay for ventilators for coronavirus patients, as part of the national efforts to curb the spread of the novel virus.
