Egypt’s Ministry of Health announced vaccinating more than 3.2 million children, who ages five years or less, during the latest limited vaccination campaign in Cairo and Giza earlier this month.
The four-day phase, set to start on March 28 until 31, comes as part of the national campaign that targets 16.7 million children for free.
The last polio case was registered in Egypt in 2004. In 2006, the World Health Organization announced that Egypt is free of the disease.
