South Sinai Governorate is the fourth governorate to implement the new comprehensive health insurance system, which aims to provide high quality medical services to its citizens.
The minister further noted that the Economic Justice Unit at the Finance Ministry hosted the first meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee for the Technical Support Project "Capacity Development for the Implementation of the Comprehensive Health Coverage Policy."
Port Said is considered the first Egyptian governorate to implement the new comprehensive health insurance system.
Such directives aim to realize the main goal of this system through providing the best medical and treatment services for all categories of Egyptian citizens
Marking the first anniversary of the mega national project, Maait said the strong political will was the key factor on the success of the comprehensive health insurance system.
Luxor is one of five governorates in the first phase adopting the new insurance system, including: Ismailia, Suez, Luxor, Aswan and South Sinai.
