Know about South Sinai's high-quality comprehensive health insurance system

CAIRO - 31 October 2023: South Sinai Governorate is the fourth governorate to implement the new comprehensive health insurance system, which aims to provide high quality medical services to its citizens.

 

The comprehensive health insurance system in South Sinai enjoys a high-quality treatment system that represents a large number of services in the family medicine, internal medicine, children's, dental, and gynecology clinics. 

 

The system also includes laboratories, radiology, and the pharmacy. In line with the state's transition to digitalization, all citizens' medical files are registered electronically.

 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, head of the Health Care Authority, pointed out that the comprehensive health insurance system in South Sinai is based on 31 health facilities, including 8 hospitals, and 23 family medicine centers and units providing primary health care services.

 

Al-Sabki pointed out that the primary health care services represent 80 percent of the health care needs of the citizens. 

 

He further continued that the comprehensive health insurance has created a qualitative leap in the services and health care provided to the people of South Sinai, confirming that it is an important and qualitative advance in the services and integrated health care for the citizens.
