In a visit to Amman, Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad met Monday with her Jordanian counterpart Khaled al-Radaida.
The virtual campaign aimed also to highlight the human and the society’s role in protecting and preserving the natural resources, said the Egyptian Ministry of Environment in a statement on Sunday.
In a bid to attract youths to visit natural reserves and protectorates, Egypt’s Ministry of Environment announced 50 percent reduction on tickets.
The two reserves were listed due to continuous maintenance and good management.
The discount will be applied on all individual trips, as well as daily cruises.

Decision No. 204 of 2019 of the Ministry of Environment stipulated the collection of a fee of $5 per foreign person for daily visits, from sunrise to evening.
The three-day festival aimed at promoting ecotourism and nature reserves, showcasing folklore products, arts and diversified cuisines.
These mechanisms adopted aim to raise the quality and the level of the touristic activities practiced by visitors of the natural reserves.
The islands will, however, still be subject to environmental control.
