CAIRO – 20 February 2023: In a visit to Amman, Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad met Monday with her Jordanian counterpart Khaled al-Radaida to discuss potential investments in natural reserves, and exchanging experience on the preservation of biodiversity.
The meeting also tackled the experience of both countries in waste management, and Jordan's Climate-Refugee Nexus Initiative aimed at supporting Arab countries experiencing climate change and influx in refugee numbers.
Minister Fouad held a field trip to "Al Maawa Reserve" northern Jordan to get informed on the management method of the project, given that Egypt plans to establish a safe haven for endangered wild life in Fayoum's Wadi Al Rayan.
