Amendments were made to the Personal Status draft law imposing punishment on husbands who hide their marriage/s and do not inform his current/future wife about them.
A Member of Egypt’s Parliament Amal Salama finalized amendments to the Penal Code that toughens punishment on husbands who assault their wives by imprisonment for a period of no less than 3 years and up to 5 years.
It is believed that the majority of young men now think that marriage wastes youth, money and is not good for psychological health.
