A bid to smuggle parts of two mummies in a DHL package via Cairo airport has been foiled, according to the customs authorities.
The massive fortress was built in 1860 BC. It had about 1,000 soldiers, 300 archers and their families.
The Grand Egyptian Museum received 116 artifacts from Saqqara archaeological site to be put on display during its planned partial inauguration.
