Libyan elections
Libyan leaders held talks in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Wednesday, during which they agreed on drawing a “clear and specified” roadmap later in order to hold the long-awaited elections.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan renewed the kingdom’s support to Egypt and Sudan in the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam file as he held a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, in Cairo on Thursday.
The United Nations Security Council warned on Wednesday that those obstructing political transition and elections scheduled for 24 December in Libya may be subject to sanctions.
The Arab Parliament welcomed on Thursday the outcome of the meeting that grouped Libya neighbors, stressing that the security and stability of Libya are a necessity to the stability of the entire region.
Libya's national army commander Khalifa Haftar condemned the brutal murder of former President Muammar Gaddafi in February, 2011.
