In a report on Sunday, the council pointed to the growth in most chemical industry products with rates ranging between 47 percent and 21 percent.
Egypt's exports of plastic and rubber products reached $1.376 billion compared with $1.571 billion, the ministry said.
Total investments in the chemicals sector reached a total value of $36 billion.
