Israel it hit dozens of military targets in Gaza on Tuesday in response to a barrage of mortar and rocket fire from the strip's Islamist rulers Hamas and an ally.
Israel said Sunday it deployed more reinforcements on the Gaza Strip borders, and put them on alert against any possible move by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Islamic Jihad Movement organized a march in Gaza on Friday calling on Egypt to resume reconciliation efforts.
