Hajj Pilgrims
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly has ordered the swift revocation of licenses for 16 tourism companies that organized the travel of unregistered pilgrims without providing them with the necessary services, resulting in the tragic deaths of many individuals.
The PM said that these companies resorted to unofficial means to facilitate the pilgrims’ travel without providing them with logistical services or adhering to the regulatory frameworks.
As per the president’s directives, the crisis cell will closely monitor and manage the situation regarding the deceased pilgrims, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
The field teams are tasked to gather information on pilgrims in these hospitals, whether those receiving treatment or deceased, and cross-referencing it with the data provided by the families of those reported missing.
Today, on the 8th day of the Hijri month of Dhu Al-Hijjah, pilgrims will make their way to Mina as they observe the Day of Tarwiyah, quenching their thirst for the Hajj experience.
