The Grand Imam said that the situation unfolding in Gaza jeopardizes communication endeavors and initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between the East and the West, adding that the international community’s reactions to the aggression on Gaza were frustrating and disappointing.
On October 20, 2023, nearly two weeks after Israel launched its war on the Gaza Strip, the UN Chief emphasized the urgent necessity for life-saving aid to promptly reach Gaza.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the call reviewed the overall situation in the Middle East and the danger of expanding the cycle of the ongoing conflict.
