Sisi orders increase in minimum wages, pensions in ‘largest urgent’ social protection package

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has instructed the raising of minimum wages by 50 percent, reaching LE 6,000 starting from March, as part of an urgent social protection package.

He added the package comes as part of directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the closing session of Egypt's Economic Conference that concluded on Tuesday.
