Tarek El Khouli
Khouli announced that release procedures have already started and that a number of detained workers will be also released today.
A first batch of imprisoned debtors in Egypt, comprising 75 men and women, will leave prison on Thursday, Tarek El-Khouli, a member of the Presidential Pardon Committee member said.
Khouli’s remarks come while many prisoners have received presidential pardon over the recent weeks after President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced in April reviving the committee, first formed in 2016, and expanding its work.
