Lost Golden City
The Sun names Egypt’s Lost Golden City top discovery of 2021
The city is named “The Rising of Aten” and was discovered by renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass.
Hawass’ visit to Italy comes within the framework of promoting Egyptian tourism and highlighting the precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Egypt.
The city spans back to the reign of the greatest king of Egypt, King Amenhotep III, who ruled Egypt from 1391 BC.
