The new well, "Zohr-17", has been placed in Zohr natural gas field in the Mediterranean Sea on production, after the completion of the drilling work for the southern region.
Petroleum Sector will complete linking well number 13 of Zohr gas field toproduction by the end of September, an official source at the sector said.
The minister said that the current production of Zohr field represents eight times the production of about 2 years of the first field production in December 2017.
