Mane praises Mo Salah, says 'great player'

CAIRO – 2 April 2018: On Monday, Liverpool’s Senegalese winger, Sadio Mane, revealed his happiness with Mohamed Salah’s performance with Liverpool this season.

“He’s a great player and he helps us to win games. He showed his quality. Everybody is happy to have Mo in the team,” Mane told Liverpool Echo on Monday.

Salah and Mane led Liverpool to defeat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday after their team was down 1-0 in the first half.

Mane equalized the score for Liverpool minutes after the start of the second half, while Salah scored the winning goal minutes before the final whistle.

After his goal against Palace, Salah reached 29 goals in the league this season.

He increased the gap with Harry Kane to five goals in their battle to achieve the league’s top goal scorer award.

The Senegalese winger believes that he and his teammates will help Salah to score more goals. He said, “We are going to help him to score even more goals for us. We want to give him more assists.”

Liverpool is placed third in the league table with 66 points, and Liverpool fans hope Salah keeps scoring to finish the league in the top four and secure a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
