CAIRO – 23 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions positively Wednesday on Arab purchases.
Benchmark index EGX30 went up 1.93 percent to stand at 14,106 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched up 1.47 percent to end at 772.59 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled up 2.72 percent to close at 1,786.11 points.
Market capitalization jumped LE 12 billion to record LE 789.661 billion, up from LE 777.661 billion registered at the end of Wednesday transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors as well as Arab institutions were net sellers at LE 521.5 million, LE 33.97 million and LE 148.3 million. Meanwhile, foreign investors in addition to Egyptian and foreign organizations purchased at LE 5.6 million, LE 623.6 million and LE 74.5 million.
Shares of 133 companies recorded increases, while 39 others saw declines. Meanwhile, shares of 18 firms remained unchanged.
