CAIRO – 20 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed mostly in green Tuesday after two consecutive declines in the first two days of the week.
Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.33 percent to stand at 13,725 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched down 0.01 percent to end at 750.78 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled down 0.14 percent to close at 1,707.87 points.
Market capitalization gained LE 3.2 billion to record LE 768.024, compared to LE 764.802 billion recorded Monday.
Foreign and Arab individuals as well as Egyptian investors and foreign institutions were net sellers at LE 1 million, LE 4.3 million, LE 64.8 million and LE 177,000, while Egyptian individuals and Arab institutions were net buyers at LE 40.6 million and LE 29.7 million.
Shares of 100 companies recorded increases, while 62 others saw declines. Meanwhile, shares of 23 firms remained unchanged.
