CAIRO – 30 October 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday in positive performance as all indices notably hiked.
Benchmark EGX30 grew 1.23 percent at the end of the trading session to stand at 14,197points, recording the highest level.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.36 percent to end at 780.08 points. The broader index EGX100 also leveled up 0.52 percent to close at 1,755.4 points.
Market capitalization lost LE 6.37 billion Monday to reach LE 779.812 billion compared to LE 773.433 billion in the latest session Sunday.
Egyptian and foreign individuals as well as local and Arab institutions recorded net sales of LE 90.5 million, LE 931,000, LE 67.6 million and LE 268,000 respectively.
Meanwhile, Arab individuals and foreign institutions sold at LE 65.9 million and LE 93.4 million respectively.
Shares of 108 companies recorded increases and 63 companies marked declines, while shares of 24 firms remained unchanged.
