ISDF starts developing slum area in Ismailia

CAIRO – 8 July 2017: Development works of a slum area in Ismailia governorate started last week as part of an agreement between the governorate and the Informal Settlements Development Fund (ISDF), said Khaled Sadek, ISDF’s executive manager.

The project’s cost amounts to LE 6.6 million to renovate and develop the slum area. The project includes the building of a residential building with 24 apartments, which will be allocated to 24 families from the area. It will also allocate 11 plots of lands to another 11 families.

Sadek said that the project aims to develop the area and provide it with the needed infrastructure and facilities, adding that the project is set to be completed in one year.
