CAIRO, May 25 (MENA) - Health Minister Hala Zayed on Monday checked on the condition of the medical staffs and the workflow at the quarantine hospitals dedicated to patients of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

During a video conference meeting with health officials and heads of medical staff at quarantine hospitals nationwide, the minister was reassured about securing all medical supplies at all the quarantine hospitals.

Zayed mourned all members of medical staffs who lost their lives while carrying out their national duty of confronting COVID-19, affirming that the state will never forget their precious sacrifices.

She thanked all medical teams and workers at hospitals across the country as well as their families for their efforts and devotion to the service of their nation.

The minister was briefed on the challenges facing the medical staffs as well as the application of the updated treatment protocols at the quarantine hospitals.

Meanwhile, the minister appealed to citizens feeling the symptoms of COVID-19 to rush to any nearby hospital, one of the 320 hospitals dedicated to offering comprehensive medical services and conducting medical checkup to diagnose the positive cases of coronavirus.

Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed, for his part, said Al Qahera Al Fatemiya Hospital, a quarantine hospital for mentally-ill persons with coronavirus, will start receiving COVID-19 cases.
