In pics: Egypt’s Health Min. undergoes preventive measures upon arrival in Beijing

CAIRO – 3 March 2020: Minister of Health Hala Zayed and her accompanying delegation underwent examination and preventive measures immediately upon her arrival at Beijing airport Monday.

Zayed has announced she is heading to China, carrying a messaging of solidarity from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to China, within the framework of the strong relations between both countries, and to enhance cooperation in combating the Coronavirus (Covid 19).

Egyptian Minister of Health was received by the Vice President of Chinese Parliament and the President of the Red Cross at the headquarters of the Chinese parliament, where they sent a message of thank and support from the Chinese people. They also expressed their gratitude for Egypt’s gesture by lighting the Egyptian temples with the Chinese flag.

Upon her arrival, Zayed held a press conference to talk about her fruitful visit to China, and then she delivered medical supplies sent as a gift from Egypt to China. She also delivered a gift from President Sisi, and a message of solidarity from Egypt to the Chinese people to combat Corona Virus.

Acting Chinese Minister of Health handed over Minister Zayed joint technical documents of the World Health Organization and the Chinese Ministry of Health on anti-Corona virus policies in addition to a souvenir.
